The
Su-25 Frogfoot is not a widespread aircraft in Eastern Europe. Czechoslovakia
received its first Su-25s in 1984. A total of 36 Su-25K singleseaters
and two Su-25UBK twoseaters were delivered to the 30.sbolp at Hradec Kralove.
A year later the unit was renamed 30.bilp shortly after moving to Pardubice.
One-third of the inventory was handed over to Slovakia in 1993. Shortly
afterwards the Czech Su-25s relocated to Namest-nad-Oslavou. In December
of 2000 the last flight of a Czech Su-25 was made and the type was withdrawn.
In September 2002 a few people from Tbilisi, Georgia visited Prerov to
look at the state of the aircraft.
